Stress and anxiety are two states that are usually clumped together when people talk about them. They are both states that are extremely harmful to your physical well-being, as well as your emotional and social well-being. I can’t say that stress and anxiety are created by any one or two types of circumstances, but I will say it tends to be an over-abundance of focus being put on future events, and perceiving the numerous ways that they can go wrong. Another method people use to create stress and anxiety in their lives is to get so many things to focus on, that they become overwhelmed, which leads to the same result. There are many other ways that people create stress and anxiety in their lives, and I couldn’t begin to list them all, but what I can say is the results are almost always not beneficial.
When one is always in that state of stress and anxiety, your body is always in a state of over-preparedness. Your adrenaline is flowing, and your body, mind, and emotions never get a chance to relax and recharge. This leads to choices and decisions being made from a point that rarely leads to the most beneficial and positive results. If you think back, you will notice that the best decisions are always made when you are in a relaxed and or positive state. You rarely if ever make poor decisions while in a positive state, they almost always occur in a negative emotional state. Having your unconscious mind always in that state will teach it that chronic stress and anxiety are to be set into a habit, which makes the release that much more difficult if not addressed.
